Course Content

This project management course will cover the following content:

  • You will immediately enter the world of PMBOK and then move on to the more recent methodologies offered with PRINCE2 and iterative release frameworks.
  • You will learn the importance of managing upwards and interfacing with end users/project owners for determining scope and/ or “user stories” that will influence your project milestones/releases.
  • Setting key parameters and priorities for time, cost and quality is imperative initially. We will then cover the importance of communicating with stakeholders for progressing the project, especially in accordance with the requirements of the project owner and end-customers. In so doing, you will learn how to convert adversaries to advocates.
  • The exposition of PMBOK methodology including project brief, project scope, time/cost/quality, risk, stakeholders, communication and integration.
  • The 7 principles , 7 themes and 7 processes of Prince2
  • Iterative project management frameworks, including roles, ceremonies and artefacts, akin to actioning a project with scrum teams.

Intended Audience

This project management course is designed for individual who are either commencing or contemplating a Project Management role and seek a disciplined foundation for their responsibilities and future activities.

Delivery Style

This project management course will be delivered as an interactive workshop consisting of an instructor-led lecture, group and individual activities. This training approach allows participants to work through concepts introduced by the trainer in an application-focused teaching environment. Participants will challenge their understanding of the concepts and consider their application once back in their individual workplace.
