  • Kaizen and the importance of teams.
  • Defining wasteful processes and how to truly deliver value.
  • A working understanding of lean tools, the 5S, the 8 W’s, Root Cause Analysis, Poke Yoke and the Value Stream Map.
  • Worked examples of achieving value added outcomes using lean tools.

Agile

  • The agile mindset.
  • Techniques arising from an agile philosophy that are based on value over constraints, team over tasks, adapting over conforming.
  • The importance of iterative development, incremental value and reducing risk quickly in a business initiative.
  • How a scrum development team is differentiated from a traditional team.
  • Scrum tools and techniques.
  • How to be an effective Scrum Master.

Lean and Agile processes

  • Working with resistance and strong emotions within an organisation whilst leading Agile and Lean teams.
  • Detecting and solving problems in a team environment using Lean and Agile principles.
  • How to lead and coach Lean and Agile teams.
  • Application of Lean and Agile principles to real world scenarios and case study examples.
